help needed to verify the results in modelsim

hello,

i've been working on problem to find dct coefficients in catapult c and in order to verify my result i need model sim.modelsim is completely new to me..i've written my test bench in C++ and i have the generated vhdl codes for the functions .when i club test bench and vhdl codes into one project its not compiling the vhdl code..

can anyone tell me how can i verify my results using model sim..
