Help me with counter for clock pulses in At89C51

hai friends
can any one help me on counter how it is count the clock pulses while we r giving input from timer pin
iam using At89C51
and my timer pin is p3.4

You can use same as use counter on INT1 or INT0.
But on programme you use interrupt 1 or 3
