Speedometer Diode ID

Hello forum members,

I have 2 diodes I need to ID. I am new to electronics, but know enough to be useful. I got these from a car instrument cluster; I am repairing my speedometer. I can't figure out for the life of me what these 2 diodes are so I can replace them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Re: Speedometer Diode ID

126 may indicate BY126 and BY126 is equivalent to diodes IN4004 to 4006 ..
I wouldn't be surprised if the other one couldn't be replaced with 1N4004 either ..

I'm not sure about that. The picture seems to show a band at each end.

Re: Speedometer Diode ID

The first one is stamped as Motorola device, so it has been produced before 1999, when these products haven been continued as Onsemi.
The coding may be OEM as well, it doesn't remind me to a known standard part.

To get a first hint, I would measure diode forward and possibly breakdown voltage.
