help me for gps car tracker system

hi 2 all my friends
im trying to design car tracking system .... using sms and gps device and ofcourse microcontroller.
i have no idea using gps device how to use it ....please any help about gps device there data sheets or any useful info about my project will be helpful for me.

i can help u only for mobile section(sms section) of this project. coz i never used gps ever.but if u get info about gps and share it, we can work on it.its not difficult

GPS is simple. Buy an OEM-GPS these modules have standard RS232 and TTL serial input output. To control it is simple.

Well I've been doing on one project, it is called GSM Controller and you can control some devices and read sensor states using SMS.
