is the *size and number of speakers important for good sound?
also has the ohm value effect in quality?*

-I intend to listen nightwish, metal, manowar, rhapsody and medieval music

thank you

Maybe you need a specialist audio forum but I am not sure which to suggest. The number of speakers makes a difference but more isn't necessarily better. The design is more important. For the impedance, you need to look at what you will be driving it with. If you amplifier wants to drive 8 ohm speakers then it is no good buying 4 ohm ones. A lot of amplifiers won't mind, some will.

Neither of those speakers are hi-fi - they are audio-visual speakers. That tends to aim for "impressive" sound rather than accurate.

I have heard good loudspeakers with many tiny speakers like the second one you showed (and a friend of mine built some with 4 two inch units not unlike that, while I built a version of the KEF 105.2 - rather different speakers). Also, I like quirky designs (I now have Castle Harlech speakers) so if I couldn't listen to them and had to choose I would pick the second ones, provided your amplifier can drive 4 ohms.

Keith.

aha! i like th second more, but i thought sound would be better with widerr speakers. now ive changed my mind. I have plenty of good amps, with variety of ohm range ! i build them but most times i dont hear them after the test !!

i prefer the second one for the cool modelling! And i think the sound must be ok.What's more it costs €137,00, a great price!

In your post you mentioned a kt88 amp so I assume that you have a tube amplifier.
As Keith said the speaker impedance is important and you should also consider the sensitivity since tube amps usually are low power devices that don't like difficult loads nor insensitive devices since it is hard to get a volume output.

The mentioned speakers are 6 ohm / 90db and 4 ohm 87db

i am not the expert about speaker.I could not give you the professional suggestion, but i like the second one. It is so beautiful. You like both of them but could not make a decision. You can find some differences of them and compare their features to decide which one is better.

My prefer speakers for is not complex and just simple.
I'm just a using a speaker with a separate sub-woofer system because I want a soundthat's more on bass.

i have tested both on three different amplifiers. jean hiraga's class a 20w, another class a tube amplifier with 6L6 tubes, and a kt88 push pull amp. the second speaker pair sounds (and looks) better, but in the end I didnt keep them, because a friend sold me a pair sonus faber Minima(fortunatelly he did not did any research before giving them away) , and they are by far the best sound I have ever heard

Zebronics and Recardo are also good options. You may search about for the same.

yy but shipping to Greece is ripoff. Thank you anyway
