I have a metex that I've been using to repair everything from engines to extruders, and I can no longer keep the thing working, its knob has fallen off for the last time.
Any recommendations for a lower end meter that has a continuity Led, I use the Led a lot as I usually work in noisy plant and cant hear the beeper and the Led gives a handy quick indication of low resistance.
I go for lower end as I have issues with theft and accidental damage.

Hi,

"Metex" is a brand with many types of meters.
Without knowing about measurement method and threshold ...

The simplest approach is to use a battery, a LED and a current limiting resistor.
