HELLOW,
please can any one help me about activating cp(code protect) ?
if i make this configuration on( cp=on) ,then can anybody make acopy about my code?
and ,in the future, if i want to program the same pic again, can i make this task?

The code protection bit makes it impossible to read the device back with normal equipment. It is quite secure.
When you erase the device, the code protection bit is also erased so yes, you can reuse the IC

Brian.

thank you very much.
what do you mean by Brian??

Hi,
Setting the CP means that your code is protected, ie, the hex can not be read from your PIC. With normal equipment, it's not possible to read the code, but it's possible in illegal ways, which you don't need to worry about, as the cost for that is not justifiable.

what do you mean by Brian??
I think that's his name.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.
