Hello,
I am attempting to communicate with my Advantest R3762 VNA using my PC and a USB-GPIB converter compatible with Agilents 82357B USB-GPIB converter.

I can send basic commands easy enough but I cant read anything from the device. The software came with the USB-GPIB and allows me to send a receive simple commands.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what is going wrong or where I should start my investigation?
Do I have to perhaps terminate a request for data with a special character?

Solved. For anyone that is interested, you can instruct the VNA as to how to terminate a character string. Send command "DL2" to have the VNA terminate output by asserting the EOI line.
