rs code

hi all....
i wish to implement an RS(255,239) in FPGA...
can u guys refer me to where i will get the generator polynomial coefficients for the same...
and the concept of galois field arithematic is a little bit confusing....
can anybody clarify me on the generator polynomials of RS code..
thank u...

rs generator polynomial

RS(255, 239) just tells you how many redundant symbols have been added by the encoder, the generator polynomial is normaly described in Octal form.
