Garmin USB (Can i Convert to Serial RS232)

hi guys...i have Garmin but its USB connection and dont have Serial(RS232) connection, i doesnt considered about the connection, i think USB dan RS232 it not have any differences, USB is look easy, isnt? my problem is i want to connect my Garmin USB 18 to embedded computer which i can't install any driver or spanner to make virtual COM...is there any solution?
how about i used USB to RS232 Converter?
