Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for a good way to analyze an unperiodic signal. The FFT is best-suited for periodic signals. STFTs and Continuous Wavelets have that Time-Frequency trade-off.

Can anyone suggest a process/method/window/book that I can study for short-duration pulses especially the exponential/double exponential type.

Thanks.

Are you looking to analyse the data in the continuous sense? or after the full aquisition? both make a diff in the analysis...

Re: Frequency Domain Techniques for Pulse/Short-Duration Sig

I'm more interested in an after-analysis.

It will be interesting to learn how to analyze in continuous/real-time fashion too.
