Hello people !

I have been working with microcontrollers (PIC,AVR) for 2+ years.

Now I'm moving to FPGAs. About to buy a NEXYS2 board. I've got Xilinx ISE10.1 too.

I've searched through the forums for tutorials and found a LOT of links. And that volume of information has got me confused.

Can the experienced people please share a few links to tutorials to get a beginner started with VERILOG and FPGAs ?

The purpose of starting a new thread was to be pointed to the best available tutorials and not waste time reading misleading/incomplete tutorials.

Thanks in advance !

You may want to review some of the tutorials I've posted in the forum group:

Verilog HDL

Verilog HDL - Tutorial Recommendations

For Verilog, the FPGA4Fun site maybe one of the better sites.

Are you looking for VHDL as well or just Verilog?

Thanks BigDog!

I'm looking for VHDL too. After a bit of googling I inferred that both VHDL and Verilog are used but verilog might be more ....familiar... for someone like me. So I asked for that.

It would be great if you could share some VHDL tutorials too....or any advice for a beginner !

I've compiled a list of interesting FPGA links in my blog - have a look at fpga-blog.tumblr.com/links
