FIR filter Equation Implementation required

hi All,

I am doing my thesis on adaptive filtering..As a first step towards the project...I need to write a MATLAB code for the Low pass FIR filter.. Which means that I have to write a code for the following equation

y=∑_(i=0)^Lb_i x(n-i)

where x is the input to the filter and b's are the filter coefficeints...I will be really very thankful to all u guys..plz help me out..

Dear Irfan,

my best advice is that you try to do it by yourself. I cannot imagine how can you do a thesis on adaptive filtering without writing a FIR code on your own.
