Field of Optoelecronics - job opportunities with MA

Field of Optoelecronics

I'm interested in the field of optoelectronics. I would like to know about the kind of jobs i would get in this field if i get a masters degree.

Are there enough job opportunities in this field or is it more research oriented. I will be glad if someone could throw some light on this issue

Field of Optoelecronics

Sure there are job opportunities.
For high speed optical communication there is need for people with good optoelectronics background.
PhD with optoelectronics will be more useful.
but theory& basics should be very strong in this field
it is very tough.
Also optoelectronics people are required in making optical fibre networks.
