Hello,

I'm currently designing a PCB which will be connected to another board which contains a gigabit Ethernet transceiver (Marvell Alaska 88E1512). The thing is that I don't need gigabit with 100/100 Ethernet would be more than enough, so in my board I want to route the signals to this RJ45 fast Ethernet jack: https://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Prototyping/MagJack.pdf.

From the gigabit transceiver I've got 4 pairs: MDI0_P & MDI0_N / MDI1_P & MDI1_N / MDI2_P & MDI2_N / MDI3_P & MDI3_N. (no sure which ones would be Tx or Rx)

So I'm thinking to do the connections like this:

MDI0_P & MDI0_N -> P1 and P2

MDI1_P & MDI1_N -> P7 and P8

P4 & P5 -> NC

P6 & P3 -> Vcc

would it work this setup?

Thanks.
