Hi
I am using OrCAD PCB Editor(version 16.3) and my layout house is using Allegro; I got error message of "Failed to find the file 'SOIC24' in the directory path 'PSMPATH." by trying to use the layout house' library. Does anyone know what is going on? and how can I make this work or what should i do for this.

It means SOIC24.psm file is missing..Please check weather this part is there in specified library location. If you have soic.dra file in ur library then open that footprint in ORCAD and do save as it will create psm file..

Check whether the board file and library files are in the same location.
Also check whether there is soic24.psm file in layout house library.
If not open the soic24.dra file and save it properly in procedure.
It will help you...

Shabu.

incase ,if u don't have the .psm file go to the selected
package->file->create symbol->save(in the same name).this may help when you copy the symbols from drive to any object.
