Hi All,

I have Ethernet to RS232 converter, please tell me how to start/configure my PC's ethernet port for sending the data to 232 port. It is IP-35U/IP-25U.
Is any requirement of PC application for configuring the ethernet port??
Please help me out.

Hi,

Apply Drivers from CD accompanied with your hardware. Driver will directly emulate virtual RS-232 port and you will find that entry in Computer Device manager status. Now start using that port as regular RS-232 port. Your this virtual port may seems slow on small characters I/O as ethernet by default has high pay-loads even for few bytes of communication.
