HBK,

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Electrostatic Discharge Association web page at www.esda.org. They have an annual symposium where many circuits are explained in great detail. You can find the proceedings from previous symposiums at most university libraries. The proceedings are a great source of different ciruit types.
