Hi all,

I have simulated an Hairpin filter in ADS with Momentum. For cross verification i have done EMDS simulation too and the results are not matching, and EMDS results are little degraded compared to Momentum.

Q) What are the possible reasons for this misconflict in Results of Momentum and EMDS..??

Because the simulators are different. MoM is a 2.5D simulator and EMDS a 3D simulator (e.g. radiation is considered)
Maybe you can add a plot of your results?

Sorry John.. I cannot upload any results.. there were some other filters that i simulated in both and found good Match with Momentum and EMDS,.. I knw the techniques used are different but results are quite diff.. Not matching at all.....

Have U took any of ur ADS filter designs to the level of fabrication and testing ?? which one gives more reliable results, Momentum or EMDS ??

I'm working with MoM on integrated transformer structures and measured results are comparable. Also pcb structures, mainly in X/Ku-band region, works. I never worked with EMDS, I only simulated in EMDS just for one.
