switched-mode dc-dc microcontroller converter

i am planing to use the
LT1074 - Step-Down Switching Regulator in the PIC board

my purpose is to use the power efficiently to conserve as much battery power

i just want to ask about the noise of the dc dc converter ,

will it effect the working of the PIC

pic effect

If you follow the guidelines that are given in the data sheet, DC/DC Converter will not effect the PIC Controller.

Usually, DC-DC converters are not recommended for RF systems, LDOs are used instead. I think, for PIC controller it's ok to use step down converter, so long you follow board specifications.
