EEPROM size to connect with FPGA Virtex-4

Hi. I am planning to interface EEPROM with Virtex-4. I want to ask that what should be the general size of EEPROM to connect with Virtex-4 FPGA?

I asume you mean "memory size".

What do you want to do with it? Store the FPGA configuration or something else?

Why EEPROM? Why not Flash - as usual?
