i am doing my final year project on e-shape microstrip antenna.please help me out with the design equations and programming tools in matlab for the vswr, return loss and radiation pattern curves.
I fooled with one that I found described in the ieee antenna proceedings several years ago. I don't recall the author but I have periodically seen similar references. You mingt see what you can run down of recent vintage. As I recall it was in the vicinity of 2 GHz and I came up with around 25% vswr (-10dB) bandwidth and gain on the order of 4-5 dBi.
I did not use closed form equations but rather modeled it parametrically using HFSS and tuned it from there.
microstrip antenna mathmatics is well developed and there r lots of research papers and books on this topic....and one very good book on this topic is written by Prof. Ramesh Garg IIT Kharagpur.......so u hv gone thru this topic and see some gud work done by Prof. B R vishwakarma Group..u can refer his papers for doing ur project............................here i am attaching one paper on E shape microstrip antenna for wideband application.............i think it will help uuuuuuuuuuuuu
