Do you know how to write an EEPROM?

If you can both .. you're done.

If there is a NO, then tell us why?
All you need to do is written in the datasheet. What item of the datasheet did you not understand?

Not necessary possible with DS1977, it may be read protected.

I don't know how to read data and also how to check if it read protected. Please indicate me the hardware that I can use or a datasheet where I can read from.
This EEPROM is used as a count down counter in a machine.

I have seen 1-wire devices in laser printer cartridges. They are typically using protection features to block unauthorized editing.
