What is Latch Up? Explain Latch Up with cross section of a CMOS Inverter. How do you avoid Latch Up?
 

latchup occurs in cmos due to an equivalent scr action in mos transistors side by side.

for figure and other , see pucknell and eshraghian -basic vlsi design.
