Hi,

My problem when i route my board , I notice that the pins of ICs and other components connected to top and bottom tracks .

I want to tell OrCAD to connect all the pins of ICs and components to bottom layer only,

How Can i do that ?

Thanx

First, if your components are thru-mounted, it is normal that both layer are connected (by extension, it would be connected to all layer because of the thru-mounted IC)

If you want to have only one layer to be connected to your IC's pins, you have to rework the footprint in one of your own by removing the layer you don't want...

You can have a look @ you SM library for instance.
CU

1.unroute your layout
2.click Tool -> Layers -> Select From Spreadsheet.
3.Left click the layer that you want remove (highlight)
4.and Than Right click -> properties , select UNUSED ROUTING
to remove it.

Hi SISWANTO,

This method if i want to layer in one single layer.
But i want to route in 2 layers (top and bottom) but i don't want to connect all the pins to the top layer.

Thanks

Hi

Thanx for all help.
I solved :) the problem by edit the padstacks.
I make the Top layer undefined for all padstacks.

Bye
