Dear All :

Is it possible to find some documents on CAM furnished by a foundry ?
Does cam itself support dirty bits and valid bits ? If i decided to replace a certain cache line with fresh data , how to manipulate cam to do so ?

Is there a reference model for cam which is as accurate as the one provided by a certain foundry ? HOw to inporpoate it into a SOC design >?
Is it the primary choice for cache ?

Thankyou!

hi, deng, CAM usually are IPs that can not be automaticly produced by mem compiler, is that right? and it needs custom circuit design and layout. it is more difficult to get from foundry than other cells. When you design sth like TLB you use it, and it can not be large. It is not that easy to include it into SOC.
