Does GDS supports text ?

Hi friends,

While making layouts we usuallt text various nets and ports, and devices.

Is this info contained in GDS too, if I write a a GDS out of my layout ?

or this is only for user's reference at Layout and verification tool stage ???/

If no, Is there any way to put text in GDS ???

yes gds support text..........label layers are for this purpose only.

you have label layers the same you used in layout......if you know the layer number , that you can select that layer and you will be able to see the layer name.

so just do 1 thing . select only the layer number of the label layer that you might have used in the layout.
