Does this oscillator is suitable to use with low frequency
I build a oscillator with 5 [MHz]
I want to work with 7 volt and 10 mili amper
who i can calculate the right value of the components ?
But I want to use the coil with low value, How to do it ?
What are the different between different kinds of oscillators?
Does this oscillator is suitable to use with low frequency ?
The colpitts is basically an unstable amplifier and therefore it requires an high load impedance. For 2 MHz a 4.2uH coil only provides a 26 Ohm impedance ! Thats too low !!! You must use an higher inductance. If the 45uH coil works then use it.
Different oscillators have different phase noise and component cost. The colpitts is often used instead of the hartley because it requires less inductors.
No, colpitts are not suitable for low frequency operation because it would require very large inductors and capacitors.
