Does BTS antenna transmit and receive in the same time?

Does BTS antenna transmit and receive in the same time? If so, how?

Yes the said antenna receives and transmits at the same time but on different frequencies as it is designed for. The two frquencies are separated by a Diplexer which feeds the TX and RX to the same antenna, which is too designed and tunned for two different frequencies.In some cases the diplexer is externally used whereas in some, it is included inside the base transciever unit....Cheers
