uhf conformal antenna

Guys, was wondering if anyone knows beside the typical dipole antennas, does aircraft uses microstrip patch antenna for communication??

If it does, then wat will the best technique use to enhance the freq range?? ie 200-400Mhz...cos we all know MPA got limited bandwidth...

Any comments from the gurus??? :D:D

no,in fact micostrip antenna is used in mobile communication successfully

Air craft uses slot antenna because it is easy to fabricate.
Patch arrays might be used in air craft for surveillance & the frequency of operation is very hight about 80GHz or something like that.
Because you get sharp beam

aircrafts are using conformal antenna array , too.

Nice picture
From where did you get this?
Can you tell the book name?
Thanks
