Do I need blocking cap at the output of a power amplifier?

Hi All,
do i need to have dc blocking cap at the output of the PA if it is directly connected to antenna.

it is generally good engineering practice to guard against all forms of failures. You should use the DC block to prevent antenna shorting to ground to possibly damage the power supply.

You must use a dc blocking capacitor ( or tuned transformer)to prevent any shorting of the aerial or possible direct connection to another supply.
