I want to understand relationship between various Digital Speech Processing factors and their perceptual/qualitative importance.

What is the Significance of frame size in Digital Speech Processing?

Plz help me.
 

Frame size affects latency. A delay of a couple of seconds can be irritating when having a conversation.
 

Thank you very much. Do you know how the standardization, adapted frame sizes of 20ms/10ms (g.729 codec)?
