digital & discrete signal

I would like to understand the diffrence between a discrete and a digital input or out put signal, like 0 and 1 are the states of digital signal similarly how we can diffrenciate between discrete and digital signals

when we sample a analog signal at uniform instant of time,we will get a discrete signal..here the time is quatized but amplitude is not(amplitude can take any value.ie continuous.) but when we quantize apmlitude also and represented by bits,we will get a digital signal.
 

by sampling an analog signal it is converted into continuous value discrete time signal
but after quantization it is converted into discrete time discrete value signal
