differece between level shifer and clamper ???why we used ??

I am not sure to be honest...but by the name i would say that a lever shifter converts 1 level to another....anlike a level clamper that will cut off signal above a certain level like 5.52 volts will become 5 and 4.5 wil stay the same.

sir according to me ..level shifter can shifts voltage high to low and low to high .......

bt clamper can only shifts high to low ..is m right or wrong ..reply ....

Correction, rakesh
level shifter is only for going from low domain to high supply domain

To go from high supply to low, you don't need level shifter
