device models not detected in CDL export

hi ,
i tried to export cdl from a schematic.
but the cdl is not showing correct model names like nmos,pmos etc.
It is showing N,P .
where have i gone wrong..?

do we need to do some device mapping???

If you use Cadence, try to change CDF parameters of your devices. They defines CDL translation (and not just CDL)

can you show me the detailed setp about how to change the cdf.

In the icfb window use the Tools/CDF/Edit menu to edit the cell's CDF.

Depends on your requirements. If it is the modelName:
The CDF type should be set to Base, then browse to find the appropriate cell.
In the component parameters section, click Add to open the dialogue box shown in the following figure:

... and set
name = model
prompt = model
defValue = yourModelName
