Hi,

I wish to create a thread which will be helpful for engineers to list and share their experience with development tools for various manufacturers and vendors. To start with I will list the most popular tools available for popular microcontrollers. Kindly add your tool and also do share your personal experience with it. No advertizing plz.

The categories are:

1. AVR Microcontroller (8-bit) - Atmel
2. PIC Microcontroller (8-bit) - Microchip
3. 8051 Microcontroller (8-bit) - NXP,Atmel,Microchip,Nouvoton, Si-Labs
4. ARM7 based Microcontroller (32-bit) - NXP
5. Cortex M0 (32-bit) - NXP,STMicro
6. Cortex M3 (32-bit) - NXP,Atmel
7. ARM9 (32-bit)
8. ARM11 (32-bit)

Shields and Add On boards:

1. Arduino Shields
2. rPi Shields
3. CAN Add Ons
4. ADC Add Ons
5. Motor Drivers
