Hello sir

i want to design a circuit which is able to sence a voice located at 5 metre range from the sensor using electret microphone n other components,im unable to make such a strong circuit , the range i designed is just 10 to 15 cms very hardly , please help

You'll have a tough time to get a good signal of someone speaking that far away.

It's best if you use a type of mic called a shotgun mic.

Did you use one stage of amplification? If that is not sufficient then you probably need additional stages.

Notice that if you have 1 mV coming from a mic, you must multiply by 1,000 to get a line level signal.

Use low noise devices.

Consider using a band-pass filter for the frequency range of the human voice.

And do a google search for "electret microphone preamplifier"
