Design voltage regulator for car power pack! & Backup po

Hi,

1).is it necessary add special filter to make a car power pack which is output is 5 volt?


2.) also i need desing a system to run main power & when there is main power down and system must run on backup battery without any noticeable interrupt!
can any one give ma a idea how to make this backup power system?
