can you help me about class c amplifier and its description and operation?

class C amplifier has a resonant circuit on it and hence it works to amplify only certain frequency... for other frequencies the gain decreases...

A class C amplifier is one in which the output device conducts for less than 180 degrees of a sine wave cycle. It is almost always used in conjuction with a resonant LC circuit. The resonant "tank" circuit produces sine wave output from the discontinuous current output of the active device. You can look at a class C amplifier as a synchrounous switch that pumps energy into the LC tank circuit. Class C amplifiers are more efficient than class A, AB or B amplifiers, at the expense of severe distortion.
