delay produced by resistor in the circuit.

dear all
I am designing a circuit for calculating time dealys in neno seconds.
the thing i want to know is that what type of delay is produced by a resistor which i will use in my circuit, so that i should add that delay in my calculations.
resistor is 1/4 watt any value like 2.2k, 4.7k or 1M etc.

A resistor, by itself, produces no delay (other than the time it takes the signal to traverse the length of the resistor. Since the signal travels at near the speed of light, that would be around tens of picoseconds for standard resistor lengths. Any other delay would be generated by the stray capacitance to ground that is at the resistor output.
