Defparam not synthesizable by DC for generate statement having array

Hi,

I am using defparam to modify the parameter inside the generate statement. But DC compiler gives me error. The generate statement has 2x2 array.
Could any one suggest some solution.

Defparam is not considered a good design style anyway.

Read "death to defparam" first http://www.sunburst-design.com/papers/CummingsHDLCON2002_Parameters.pdf

Then try to use the parameter on the instantiation in this style:

counter #(.BITS(16)) count_1(.Clk(Clk). ... );
