Hi all,

Does any one has any ideas how to decrease the size of monopole antenna using CST ?

Thanks

Hi,
I think you can apply image theory to reduce the size into half. A monopole of length L above the perfect electric conductor is equal to 2L in free space.

Capacitive tip loading and meandering are two common techiniques to reduce the monopole/dipole size.

hi
loading is too good for decrease of antenna size but when u apply load like inductance and resistance the antenna gain and efficiency decrease too much and when u apply capacitance the gain increase but u should notice to this the antenna power decrease very much if u need high bandwidth u should use the load but if u did not need high band width better use and try shelling for this u can read the papers of Alu and nader engheta
