hi everyone,

can anyone please tell me exactly what goes in to declaring the radiation boundaries for a radiating structure and how does it affect the accuracy of results obtained??

Re: HFSS question..

The radiation boundaries, it is recommended, to have quarter wavelenght from the radiating structure, if you want to obtain farfield solution results. For the radiation boundaries box manually meshing should be performed on to get accurate results for properties such as efficiency, directivity, and radiation pattern (if you model a antenna). One should seed lambda/10 for the radiation boundaries box. More detail https://www.emtalk.com/tut_1.htm
