I do a DC simulation of BB640 varactor using ADS. The electrical model of the diode was transferred from the HFDiode library. The analysis failed as the DC Current value is around 600A with an inverse voltage of 30volts. There is a warning message :
Circuit converged with at least one device 'sPN junction current and junction has been linearized.
Thank you Erik but this varactor can be used in the range 0-30 volt as indicated inside the datasheet of the diode. In fact the current grow dramatically after 16 volts value. I tried another diode from HF diode library and the identical results are obtained. I assume the error comes from the set up of ADS simulation.
Possibly, but I think it's from the diode model. Could you post the model file (or a link to it)?
If not, look for the BV parameter in the model file. Should be 30V.

I cannot known the value of BV as the varactor BB640 is simulated using the HF Frequency diode library of ADS
The datasheet of the varactor shows variation of capacitance until 30 V value
The attach file indicate the schematic , the error message and the simulation result.
The result is wrong.
How can i modify the configuration odf ADS in order to obtain the expected value
Thank you
I guess BB640's model file is wrong in ADS' RF diodes lib. Try to find it; probably BV=16 . Perhaps you're allowed to change it to 30V.
Otherwise you'll have to stop your DC1 sweep @ 16V.
Good luck!
