Hi, all on this forum today I got a low price inverter 12VDC input, 400Watts output 1.5Amp output 115VAC Output
I have a question on How to modefied any DC - AC inverter to get more watts out put (e.g 3000 watts) and (e.g 15Amps) without affecting the output voltage 115VAC no change. I need a big help on this project. The voltage source 12VDC input is provided from a car battery.
What??
1.5A x 115V is only 173W, not 400W. You got ripped off.
The inverter will get hot because it wastes some power making heat so the battery power is about 500W and its current will be 42A which might cause it to blow up.
A high power inverter needs a huge battery and many output transistors to provide enough current.
115V x 30A= 3450W which is very high for a 12V inverter. The current in the transistors and from the battery is 333A which is rediculous.

I think it is better to redesign or make new one instead of modifying the existing units. If power needed is behond 3000W I will suggest a 48VDC input rather than 24V or less.
