Hi Guys,
I am relatively new to designing with data converters and now i am designing a DAC evaluation board, I came across a lot of terms that i am not familiar with in the datasheet of the DAC and i would like to know what do all those parameters mean and what role does each parameter play in the performance, i am listing out the parameters below:
1 - Output Settling Time
2 - Output Noise
3 - Spurious Free Dynamic Range(SFDR)
4 - Two Tone Intermodulation Distortion
5 - Noise Spectral Density
6 - Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio(ACLR)
I am using AD9117 and it has got an evaluation board with reference to the above system i have made a lot of changes to the reference design. i would like to know all about these parameters that i have listed above.
So, I request all the big guns of this forum to help me out in this endeavor and i am sure it will be a great learning experience for others as well. please give some references while posting answers(if possible) to better the understanding of the topic.
Thanks
