current vs voltage sense amp in SRAM

what are the merits of currnt sense amp over voltage amp in SRAM design.
 

the constraint over the resistance of the connecting wire is not to be considered in current sense...
 

The constrain is set by offset voltages and noise voltages budget on the bitlines.

In the voltage case you have to wait unit the bitline voltage difference is above the budget.

In current case it is the equivalent current difference

Power wise ther is no difference! Either bitlines have to be charged or the current input of the sense amplifier.
