LNA do the transient simulation , transient current about 30mA. dc current at 5mA ; Create the layout for LNA ,How to decide the metal width?

Metal width is determined by impedance.

Hi tony_lth ,
Can you tell me a little more about Metal width is determined by impedance?

I am confused about your "metal width".
Do you design a MMIC layout of LNA? Or do you design a LNA with in-stock MMIC?

i create a layout of LNA by TSMC 0.18um technology,i want to know the width of Metal interconnect line. the density of metal1 to metal5 1mA/um ,metal 6 1.6mA/um. LNA's DC current 5mA Tran.current 30mA How to decide to the width of the metal line.

Refer to the Design Guide of TSMC documents.
the 30 mA means AC current? peak or peak-to-peak?
or just peak value of a short pulse? because LNA operates with small-signal, there should not be such a large AC current.
