current source clarification

if you have a current source of 500ma and a resistor of 1K in series with it then what would the current across the other end of the resistor.
please elaborate the answer.
 

The current will always be 500mA. Whatever resistance is. If the loop is open, the voltage will be unlimited high. If loop is closed, voltage will be 500mA x 1k = 500V.

....and the current at the pins of every two_pin_device will always be equal.
The current that goes IN needs to come OUT.
