Hello,
I need your suggestion on the next:
For a cubesat project I was told to suggest an RF transceiver for the communications system.
The specs are:
1. The uplink should be around 146MHz and the downlink around 433MHz.
2. To match the already purchased 9600kbps FSK modem, the transmitter oscillator must use a crystal and a varactor in series or in parallel to do the FSK on the RF carrier.
I was thinking of this transceiver but It does not meet the specs. www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc1020.pdf
Another thought was to build a simple HF transceiver (that can use a fundamental crystal indeed) and then upconvert the TX and downconvert the RX signals from/to the VHF/UHF.
I would like to listen to your ideas and propositions about such a system. Be it a single chip transmitter or a small cheap commercial system or whatever.
